In this publication, contemporary artist Kathrin Sonntag embarks, after an interval of more than 100 years, on a journey through the lesser-known photographic oeuvre of the expressionist Gabriele Münter. On the book’s double-page spreads, Sonntag juxtaposes Münter's photographs with images from her own photo archive. This visual dialogue is accompanied by an essay in which she recapitulates her exploration of Münter’s pictorial world and relates it to her own experiences with the medium of photography.
